Terms & Conditions

Nature Sense is happy to accept your booking online, by email or telephone.  All bookings must however be accompanied by your approved Nature Sense form.We are able to accept deposit and balance payments by debit / credit card, bank transfer or cash.Upon receipt of your booking deposit of £500/€600 your Nature Sense reservations will be made.The deposit for your booking is non-refundable.Once you have signed off on the details a full deposit will be required which is 50% of the cost of the booking.  The balance will be due 6 weeks (42 days) prior to the start date of your booking. If your booking is within 6 weeks (42 days) of the ‘start date’, your full balance will be payable at that time.

1a. Alterations to your Nature Sense booking (made by you).Nature Sense shall book your holiday in accordance with your requested dates. If you need to change any details of your booking, we will do our best to help. If a change you have requested is made we will charge an Amendment Fee.The fee will be £30/€40 per person for those wishing to change/amend their booking more than 42 days prior to departure.Alterations after this date will be treated as a cancellation and re-booking.An additional charge may be levied if we are unable to recover costs already incurred (Accommodation is dealt with separately).

1b. Alterations by Nature Sense.Nature Sense reserve the right to change the itinerary or accommodation where circumstances dictate.  We shall advise you of these amendments before your start date.

2. If you need to cancel your booking/reservation.Should you need to cancel your booking, then you must advise us as soon as possible. Your cancellation will need to be confirmed in writing.Our cancellation fees will apply as follows:42 days or more before your start date – deposit only
29 to 55 days before your start date – 50%
8 to 28 days before your start date – 90%
Less than 8 days – 100%Nature Sense is obliged to implement these cancellation fees without exception. We therefore strongly advise you to take out adequate travel insurance to cover you against cancellation.

3. Your Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a reasonable level of health / fitness, adequate experience, suitable clothes/equipment and remain aware of risks involved in a Nature Sense booking.

Although Nature Sense can assure you that with sensible precaution your holiday is as safe as possible you must accept that the sole responsibility for your personal safety remains with you.

In the interest of safety you must undertake to follow the advice in the guide book or route notes as well as that provided by anybody on our behalf, heed any warning or advisory notices you may encounter on your booking, follow the Country Code and act sensibly and prudently at all times.

You are responsible for your own travel arrangements to the start point and from the finish point of you holiday. Please read through our booking conditions carefully.

The person making the booking accepts the terms of these booking conditions on behalf of everyone named on the booking form.
4. Insurance

We strongly recommend you take out adequate insurance to cover you against cancellation, illness, personal accident and loss or damage to possessions.

Nature Sense or its associates cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage, illness, injury or consequences outside of their control.
5. Nature Sense

We believe that the details on the web site to be correct at the time of publication. All arrangements made on behalf of clients are made in good faith.

We reserve the right to alter the information, prices and itineraries on the website before acceptance of a booking.

6. Force majeure

Nature Sense regret we cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by, or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of force majeure.

Force majeure means any event which we, or the supplier of the service(s) in question, could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.

Such events include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, fire, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions and all similar events outside our control.

7. Transfers
Nature Sense is not liable for any knock on effects arising from the failure of any transport arrangements.  It remains the customer’s sole responsibility to arrive and depart and travel between all elements of a booking. The customer must check with local operators the exact times and schedules for transport.

8. Photographs
We try to be as accurate as possible in our descriptions and photographs bur reserve the right to make such changes.9. Exclusion of Liability
Nature Sense cannot accept liability for causes of dissatisfaction which are not notified by the client within 10 days of the completion of the booking.  We will in any dispute first refer to the terms and conditions.10. If you have a complaint
We aim to give you an enjoyable, trouble-free booking. If you do have a problem or complaint it is important , and in your own interest, to tell us or our representatives so that steps can be taken to resolve the matter on the spot.

11. Acceptance of Nature Sense Terms and Conditions.Your Nature Sense booking is accepted on the basis of the above conditions. Please do not ask us to change them after booking.It must be understood by the members of your group, your arrangements and acceptance of the above including the details of your booking is done on their behalf.
